End Control Forklifts
The stand-up end control lift truck is a really flexible machinery and is popular in the material handling business. These machinery have superior performance characteristics which are somewhat similar to sit-down electric forklift models.
Ideally, these forklift truck models are suitable for warehousing operation settings which have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are normally less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These machines are an excellent alternative for applications which require frequent off and on access, since their stand-up design is an excellent feature.
Many companies utilized a reach truck to maintain their storage facilities. These loading equipments could arrange finished products on pallets and materials to be stored or stacked into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck provides safe and easy retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also an excellent choice for those who prefer to store pallets of goods they do not require yet in a way which is efficient and safe.
The standard reach truck model is outfitted with an out-rigging mechanism situated on the front of the truck. A set of telescoping forks that move up and down are mounted to the out-rigging. The forks also have a hydraulic setup which allows the operator to pick up the load and move it over the out-riggers. This design not only offers more balance to the overall load, but makes it easier for the reach truck to move between the storage shelves into narrow aisles.
Once the designated shelf has been identified, the hydraulic tines swing into action and lower the pallet into the shelving unit, helping to slide the load into position. Normally, a reach truck will easily fit into an aisle which is less than 10 feet across without any problem, so long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
