Jungheinrich LP Forklift New Hampshire

Jungheinrich LP Forklift New Hampshire

The forklift is an important piece of equipment in most companies which operate distribution centers, warehouses, industrial and storage handling facilities. This great machine, the lift truck is constructed of many components, including the essential carriage, the power source, the engine and the wheels. Lift trucks usually have different types of attachments also. The following are a few of the most essential components of a forklift.

Forklift Engine - the lift truck is designed with a power source at the rear of the machinery. Different kinds of lift trucks have various kinds of engine that need varying power sources. Like for example, a forklift with an IC engine can have as its power source any of the following: diesel, gasoline, CNG gas or LP gas. Electric motor lift trucks receive their power from a battery or fuel cells.

Frame of The Truck - the base of the forklift truck and the most vital of all the forklift parts is the frame of the truck. This forms the core of the machine. All other forklift parts are connected to the base, like the axles, mast, wheels counterweight and overhead guard. Fuel and hydraulic fluid tanks may also be part of the frame assembly.

Counterweight Lift Truck Components - While lifting heavy loads, the counterweight allows the machine to be balanced. This specific component is cast iron and comes connected to the back of the forklift. The counterbalance balances the frame of the truck to prevent it from tipping over when a load is being carried or lifted on the front. The heavy lead-acid battery in an electric lift truck provides balance and could work as part of the counterweight.

The Cab Area - The cab is also referred to as the operator compartment. Lift trucks will sometimes have closed cabs while others will be open to the air. There are many components situated within the cab for operating the forks. The cab contains such important components like for example the pedals, seats, switches, levers, steering wheel and operator controls. The dashboard contains operator readouts.
