Electric Forklifts
The primary service area for an electric lift truck would be the charging area and providing care for the battery. Under normal circumstances, at the end of the day, the forklift will be connected to the charger or as required to be able to maintain a proper charge. Batteries can be cycled so that the lift truck can always be in service.

The battery will need to connected to the right battery charger because each model of electric lift truck can have a different battery voltage. The battery could get damaged if it gets connected to the wrong charger. It is also necessary to check the water level in the battery every 7 days. Be sure to have the charging area be a well-ventilated space and designated as a non-smoking area.

Forklift Basics
Forklifts are small lift trucks with tine attachments which are used to lift and transport heavy loads. Ever since the very first model forklift was made during the 1920s, it has become a vital machinery in practically every warehouse and manufacturing setting throughout the globe. Correct training is required to be able to operate a forklift. Since these equipment use rear-wheel drive, it is essential to learn this skill before driving one. Furthermore, because a forklift lifts heavy cargo at its front, the equipment's center of gravity is continually changing and this can leave the equipment very unstable.

Components
Forklifts share some particular components even though the majority of forklift makes and models are a bit different. The forklift driver sits in a protected vehicle cab with metal overhead roof. On the front of the forklift the mast is located. This contraption lifts and lowers the load using hydraulic cylinders. Forklifts are powered either by batteries or internal combustion or IC. If an internal combustion engine is utilized, added counterweights should be used at the rear of the forklift. If a battery is used, it sits in the forklift's rear as a counterbalance.

Capabilities and Uses
Forklifts are capable of performing numerous tasks in various environments. People rely on them for transporting different contents of the warehouse from one place to another. Normally, these forklifts have load capacities ranging between 1 and 5 tons. Other forklifts are used to carry huge loads or immense shipping containers. These forklifts have load capacities up to 50 tons.
