Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks offer height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is designed to lift personnel is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
